As specialists in the field of leadership development and with significant experience of Assessment & Development Centres we were engaged by a client to assist with the development of their growth plans which would see them growing tenfold in the course of 3 to 5 years.
Rapid business growth provided them with the opportunity of taking their first-line and middle managers and putting them through the Centre in an effort to determine what their development needs were as part of the growth profile for the organisation. Some of this growth would come from the deployment of managers currently working here in the UK to overseas assignments where they would be required to lead and manage expat workers and some locals.
As this was the first time that these leaders would be in this position they will first of all subject to a set of exercises devised and developed by us in conjunction with the company to help undertake an assessment of their competencies against the organisation’s competency framework. This assessment allowed us to identify the development needs of each and every one of the 36 managers who went through the programme and for each one a tailored development programme was created making use of a range of interventions including online learning, coaching, mentoring and 360° feedback.
