Our client is a fast-growing provider of household energy operating in the green and alternative energy sector. With 250 employees their aim was to grow initially to 750 and then onwards to about 1500 employees with similar and significant growth in their customer base.
With this type of growth in mind their immediate priority was to identify the training and development needs that was required to support this level of growth and they wished this growth to be supported with opportunities for their existing employees to be able to be promoted internally and grow with the company. Following a training needs analysis which highlighted a wide range of need we worked initially with the HR Director to identify the way in which that training need might be met for all of their middle managers. These had been identified as key to the growth required within the organisation and this would be followed with appropriate interventions for first line and senior managers.
The Training Needs Analysis was used to create a program comprising of 5 2-day workshops with each of these being developed around the needs of the organisation and during a meeting with the HR Director it was suggested that instead of running this programme on its own with no accreditation that an opportunity should be sought to enable all of those taking place in the programme to be able to gain the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management & Leadership.
